Role: Financial ControllerWork Location: X Technologies100 Sandau Rd, Suite 300, San Antonio, TX 78216X-Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller with proven experience managing government contracts. This role will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with federal regulations, and provide strategic guidance to support organizational growth. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting expertise with deep knowledge of government contracting requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Oversee compliance with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and other government contract requirements.Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.Collaborate with program managers and executives to align financial strategies with contract performance.Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors and government agencies.Provide financial analysis to support pricing, proposals, and contract negotiations.Supervise accounting staff and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Conduct month-end close activities, including journal and ledger entries, maintenance, and preparing financial statements.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting practices and government compliance requirements.QualificationsBachelor 's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).Minimum 7–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 5 years in government contracting.Strong knowledge of FARS, DFARS, CAS, DCAA audit requirements, and government cost principles.Demonstrated success in financial leadership roles, preferably within defense, aerospace, or government services industries.Advanced proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Preferred AttributesExperience with cost-plus, fixed-price, and time-and-material contracts.Background in proposal development and contract pricing.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement plan, and paid time off.Professional development opportunities and support for certifications.Why Join X Technologies?Opportunity to work with a fast-growing, innovative company supporting critical defense and commercial missions.Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and professional development support.Collaborative work environment with a focus on innovation and excellence.X Technologies, Inc. is an equal-opportunity employer.
