Certified Surgical Technician

Employment Type: Part time Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift Description: Performs patient care duties delegated by the RN related to patients' personal needs, comfort, and safety. Scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrate competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Prepares and maintains supplies, instruments, and equipment related to surgical intervention.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current certification as surgical technologist (CST) required.
• Completion of an approved technologist program or previous technologist experience of at least one year.
• Current BLS certification
• High school diploma or equivalent required,
• Successful completion of adult basic education evaluations for math and reading
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language
• Visual accuracy
• Auditory acuity
• Basic computer skills, to include data entry and retrieval
• Ability to coordinate eyes and hands quickly and accurately
• Ability to identify and distinguish color, temperature, texture, and size
• Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds, as determined by the nature of the patient care unit. Must be able to push, pull, lift patients and equipment (e.g. beds, stretchers).
• Must be able to bend body downward at the waist and be able to kneel.

Pay Range: $26.62 - $41.31 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
