Job Summary Under general supervision, the BehaviorSpecialist/Behavior Technicianis responsible fordirect delivery of behavioral services to children and families/caregivers.This positionmaintainsaccuraterecord keeping of case notes and communicateswith supervisingBoard-CertifiedBehaviorAnalystabout the program and the progress of the treatment planfor individuals served.The positionwillutilizethe strategies and principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) to manage a caseload ofclients andwork withtheirfamilies byprovidingservices in family homesor otherappropriate settings.Reports toa Clinical Administratoror aBoard-CertifiedBehavior Analyst (BCBA). Essential Job Functions Works under the supervision of a BCBA to collaborativelyestablishand/or implement a treatment plan based on a functional assessment. Provide direct delivery of the behavioral services to the children and families by implementing goals andobjectivesto ensure safety and engagement inappropriate instructional, leisure, and daily living activities within a natural environment and under the supervision of a BCBA. May prepare written assessments, assessing service recipients from multiple perspectives, including family functioning, social, academic, and behavioral, skills, strengths, barriers self-sufficiency, treatment history, and others, andutilizingvarious assessment instruments asappropriate. Implement language and academic programs by collecting individual progress data,maintainingprogram books, and creating teaching materials. Document case activities or other required daily documentation for both data analysis and billing purposes in a timely manner. Schedule and keep scheduled appointments to support family with implementing behavior intervention in home and schedule and keep supervision meetings with BCBA for supervision and as needed. Discuss treatment progress, supports family in implementing in-home behavior strategies that support the treatment plan, and responds to parents and/ or guardiansregardingoperations, events, incidents, etc. Attends job specific conferences and/or training as scheduled, andassistsin the trainings and mentoring ofnew staff Communicate effectively about all ideas,successesor concerns Performs other duties as assigned MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Must be 21 years of age Any applicant who is not RBT certified at hire will be given 6 months to obtain certification Bachelor’s degree in psychology, humanservicesor a relatedfield OR Associatesdegree and 3 months experience working with children required OR High school diploma and 6 months experience working with childrenrequired Prior experience working with children with developmental and/or intellectual disabilitiespreferred Experience in writing Positive Behavior Support plans and in designing and evaluating behavioral interventionspreferred Effective oral and written communication skills and outstanding social skills Solid reporting skills and impartial assessment skills are essential COMPENSATION Starting at $21.38 up to $28.04/hour based on years of experience. Depending on hoursworked you may be eligible for Grafton's shift differential that is currently being offered.
