Job Summary:
Operating Room Surgical Technologist position in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role involves supporting a high-volume surgical unit with a focus on neuro, ENT, spine, cranial, orthopedic, and general surgeries. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role offers a daytime schedule with variable start times between 5:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Job Details:

• Location: Milwaukee, WI
• Schedule: Dayshift with variable start times (anywhere between 5:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.), 8 hours shift, 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), BLS certification, High school diploma or equivalent, Wisconsin state license or eligible to obtain, 2 years of operating room experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in neuro/ENT/spine surgeries, cranial surgeries, orthopedic procedures, and general surgeries; proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Float: Cross trained to General Main Operating Room specialty (regardless of hiring position) and Urology center; NO floating to other hospitals/sites
• Additional Information:
  • Support staff includes charge nurses, leads, supervisors, and a manager
  • Orientation lasts approximately 1 to 1.5 weeks, depending on team and shift needs
  • On-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time; 8-week call schedule (may vary based on staffing needs)
  • Scrub caps must be covered by a surgical bouffant; hospital provides surgical scrubs
  • Free parking available; shuttle service provided
  • Food options include on-campus Starbucks and cafeteria
  • No call rooms available
  • Holiday work options include four 10-hour shifts or unpaid holiday leave
