Outside Sales Representative – Heavy-Duty Truck Parts

Heavy Duty Truck Supply (HDTS)

Location: Eastern North Carolina (Based Near Greenville, NC)
Territory: Eastern North Carolina and the Raleigh market (approximately a two-hour travel radius)

Heavy Duty Truck Supply (HDTS) is looking for an experienced Outside Sales Representative with a strong background in heavy-duty truck parts to help expand our growing business throughout Eastern North Carolina.

This is a field-based position responsible for developing new customer relationships, growing existing accounts, and expanding our presence throughout Eastern North Carolina while developing the Raleigh market. If you're motivated by building relationships, closing new business, and earning uncapped commissions, we'd love to meet you.

Experience with hydraulics is highly preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong heavy-duty truck parts background.

What You'll Do

• Develop new business while growing sales with existing HDTS customers.
• Prospect and call on commercial fleets, municipalities, contractors, equipment operators, trucking companies, repair facilities, dealerships, and owner-operators.
• Promote and sell heavy-duty truck parts, accessories, hydraulic hose, fittings, adapters, couplers, and related hydraulic products.
• Identify customer needs and provide practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare quotes and proactively follow up on open opportunities.
• Develop and execute a structured territory sales strategy.
• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects and new business opportunities.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales and gross profit goals.
• Protect gross margins while delivering outstanding customer value.
• Partner with inside sales, purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Maintain accurate customer records, quotes, opportunities, and sales activities within the CRM.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and customer needs.
• Represent HDTS with professionalism, integrity, urgency, and exceptional customer service.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years of successful outside sales experience in heavy-duty truck parts, commercial vehicle parts, fleet services, trailer parts, diesel components, hydraulics, or a related industry.
• Strong working knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts and their applications.
• Hydraulic hose, fittings, adapters, couplers, and mobile hydraulic systems experience is strongly preferred.
• Existing relationships with commercial fleets, municipalities, contractors, repair facilities, trucking companies, dealerships, or equipment operators are a plus.
• Proven ability to develop new business while growing existing customer accounts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently throughout an assigned territory.
• Strong organization, time management, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to balance aggressive sales growth with pricing discipline and profitability.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM or sales management software.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Territory & Travel

This position requires regular travel throughout Eastern North Carolina, with continued expansion into the Raleigh market. Most customer visits will occur within approximately a two-hour driving radius from Greenville.

• Competitive base salary ($50,000-$60,000 based on experience)
