Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults in a corrections setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage treatment plans within scope of practice.
- Document care in the charting system accurately and timely; maintain clear handoffs with the healthcare team.
- Respond to clinical changes, participate in rounds, and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure patient safety and security.
- Implement infection control, safety protocols, and emergency procedures as appropriate.
- Educate patients and, when feasible, their relatives or correctional staff on care plans and health maintenance.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Minimum 1 year of RN clinical experience (correctional or secure-setting experience preferred)
- Ability to work in a corrections environment and manage high-demand situations
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
