Closing and Compliance Manager

Trueline's client, a privately held real estate investment and development organization focused on residential land banking and transaction management, is seeking a Closing and Compliance Manager to join their team in Calabasas, California. This role serves as a critical operational partner to company leadership and will oversee commercial real estate transaction coordination, compliance tracking, executive support, and closing administration in a highly collaborative and lean office environment. What You'll Do as the Closing and Compliance Manager: Coordinate commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and transaction closings from contract through funding Manage closing timelines, track deliverables, and maintain communication with title, escrow, lenders, outside counsel, and internal stakeholders Prepare, organize, and route transaction documents for execution and closing Maintain compliance records, entity filings, deadlines, and organizational documentation Support ongoing entity management activities, including annual filings and coordination with accounting and legal partners Track critical dates, approvals, signatures, and reporting requirements across multiple projects Serve as a key operational support partner to executive leadership, including the General Counsel and CEO Manage calendars, scheduling, meeting coordination, and confidential correspondence Assist with office coordination and administrative support tasks as needed in a lean team environment Help improve organizational processes and maintain smooth day‑to‑day operations across the business Must-Haves as the Closing and Compliance Manager: 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, escrow, title, closings, compliance coordination, or related operational support work Experience independently managing transaction timelines and coordinating multiple stakeholders Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and follow through consistently High attention to detail and strong administrative execution skills Ability to work independently with minimal oversight in a fast‑moving environment Professional communication skills and a service‑oriented mindset Comfortable handling both transaction‑related work and broader operational support responsibilities Notary license, or willingness to obtain shortly after hire Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business software platforms Ability to work onsite five days per week in Calabasas, CA Nice-to-Haves as the Closing and Compliance Manager: Background in commercial real estate development, land banking, title, escrow, or legal operations Experience supporting executives or legal teams in lean organizations Familiarity with entity management and compliance tracking Exposure to residential development transactions or real estate investment operations Experience working in highly collaborative, entrepreneurial, or lightly structured environments Our Client Offers: Competitive compensation package with discretionary bonus eligibility Strong employer contribution toward healthcare premiums Generous PTO structure including vacation, sick time, personal days, and birthday time off Paid holidays, including extended holiday office closures Employer‑paid life and disability coverage Long‑term stability within an established and growing real estate platform Collaborative and team‑oriented office environment Opportunity to play a highly visible and impactful role within a lean organization Trueline and its clients are unabashed equal‑opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
