About The Role The Account Manager position is a strategic role designed to foster strong customer relationships and drive business growth within the North Carolina, Ohio, Maryland, District of Columbia, and Virginia territories. This remote role requires the employee to be based preferably in the Raleigh, NC area and to be willing to travel regularly for onsite customer trainings and meetings. The primary focus is on delivering tailored solutions aligned with joint business plans, monitoring competitor activities, and ensuring customer needs are met through collaborative efforts across various departments. The role emphasizes building long‑term relationships, facilitating value creation, and supporting company objectives through proactive engagement and strategic planning. The successful candidate will work closely with field service teams, sales, R&D, and customer success teams to ensure service excellence and business expansion. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent -- REQUIRED Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business -- PREFERRED Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook -- REQUIRED Business or sales experience -- PREFERRED Minimum of 5+ years of product engineering experience with electro‑mechanical systems, preferably in the industrial sector -- PREFERRED 3+ years of Ready Mix or equivalent industry experience -- PREFERRED Experience with Tableau or Power BI -- PREFERRED OSHA 10 certification -- PREFERRED Responsibilities Business Management: 40% Provide solutions to customers aligned with the value derived from Joint Business Plans. Monitor competitor activity and implement appropriate strategic responses. Build and maintain long‑term relationships with customers to ensure their value needs are fulfilled, including process, structure, and value support. Participate actively in industry association events and committee assignments to enhance networking and industry presence. Collaborate with Field Service Managers and Technicians to deliver value‑added services to customers. Commercial & Excellence in Execution: 60% Coordinate with Sales, Field Service, Command Center, and R&D teams to meet customer service needs effectively. Identify and resolve bottlenecks in service delivery to enhance customer satisfaction. Work with the Customer Success Manager to develop processes and plans that promote value creation based on Joint Business Plans. Lead the development and execution of account plans and value initiatives; responsible for the success of assigned accounts. Leverage local relationships to generate leads within current markets, collaborating with Client Engagement and Business Development teams.
