The hospital has been serving the community for over 100 years, with a staff of approximately 16,000 employees, including over 5,000 nurses, and handles about 1.4 million patient contacts annually. It offers advanced care including a Level II Trauma Center and Level III NICU, and is part of an award-winning healthcare system.

The hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Critical Care Transport Team. This role involves providing safe patient care during ground transport for pediatric and neonatal patients, supporting the hospital’s mission to deliver high-quality healthcare. The position is based on-site in Fort Myers, Florida, and focuses on critical care transport within Lee, Collier, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties.

• Deliver and document patient care using the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Coordinate care based on American Nurses Association standards and Florida Nurse Practice Act.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective and efficient patient care.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and customer service excellence.
• Incorporate knowledge of patient age and cultural diversity into care provision.
• Follow the code of ethics for nurses and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Associates or Bachelors preferred.
• Must have NICU and PICU experience.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification, valid for at least 90 days post-hire.
• AHA ACLS certification required if applicable, valid for at least 90 days post-hire.
• Licensed to practice in Florida.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, basic computer, and customer service skills.
• Certification in a specialty area is preferred.

• Experience in neonatal and pediatric critical care transport.
• Ability to complete competency assessments successfully.

• Location: On-site in Fort Myers, FL.
• Schedule: Part-time, night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Coverage Area: Ground transport only within Lee, Collier, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties.
• Shift differential: $6.00 for the entire shift.

• Competitive pay up to $55/hour for critical care, up to $50/hour for non-critical care.

• Minimum to midpoint pay rate: $33.37 – $45.05 per hour.
