Job Summary:
Radiologic Technologist (RT) Mammography in Edinburg, TX. This position involves performing screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, including special views, with expertise in breast ultrasound a plus. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent patient communication, supporting patient-centered care in the facilitys Womens Imaging Center.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with weekend hours on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Off on the Monday prior when covering Saturday).
- Required Qualifications: Texas Medical Board License (MRT), American Registry of Radiologic Technology Certification (Radiography and Mammography), MQSA/FDA Initial Qualifications, up-to-date continuing education hours, and at least 3 years of experience in a hospital setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bone Density testing, Breast Ultrasound, knowledge of EMR, RIS, PACS, and MRS software programs.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to other facilities, such as the Womens Imaging Center at Dove in McAllen, TX.
- Additional Information: The position involves working in facilities equipped with 4 Mammography Rooms, 3 Ultrasound Rooms, and 1 Bone Density Room, utilizing systems such as Cerner EMR, Paragon RIS, Fuji Synapse PACS, and Volpara MRS. Candidates should demonstrate strong skills in image quality assessment, troubleshooting, patient education, and communication, with a compassionate, team-oriented approach. Uniform dress code includes professional, pressed scrubs in shades of pink or black/white, with restrictions on unacceptable attire.
