Maintenance Technician

Position Summary Responsible for ensuring smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment, including the installation of equipment when necessary, regular services, preventative maintenance, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment breakdowns. Advanced mechanical knowledge of industry machinery is essential. Duties And Responsibilities Perform daily preventative equipment maintenance Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems Basic electrical knowledge is a bonus Perform troubleshooting on mechanical issues Initiate equipment repairs Perform detailed machine maintenance Provide day‑to‑day coverage of production equipment—respond to breakdowns and production requests quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime Experience and knowledge of plumbing and welding are a plus Ensure work is performed safely and efficiently Maintain accurate and timely records of maintenance performed Comply with all federal, state and local laws Proficient in the use of power and hand tools Complete work orders and record materials utilized on the job Assist with planned preventative maintenance as assigned All other duties as assigned Job Requirements High school diploma, GED or equivalent Essential Qualifications Mechanical mindset 5 years’ experience in a similar role Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver clear, concise reports that are understandable by the target audience Ability to prioritize tasks and to escalate them when appropriate Ability to read and interpret blueprints to draft detailed manufacturing procedures Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced, quickly changing environment Time management skills Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Dropbox Language Skills Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish preferred Physical Demands Must be able to talk or hear regularly Required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or crawl Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds May require more than 40 hours per week Requires fine hand manipulation (typing) skills Work Environment Works in a manufacturing setting Must be able to adapt to moderate to heavy noise levels typical of a manufacturing setting Frequently uses standard office equipment such as a computer, phone, printer/scanner, and filing cabinets Temperature will vary from hot to cold, depending on the weather #J-18808-Ljbffr
