What are we looking for?

The Technician I is responsible for providing technical support for engineering staff, including performing duties related to routine testing, maintenance or clean-up.

This position has the potential for 10-15 % travel.

Shift/Schedule: Full Time, 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday 4:00pm until 12:30am OR 3rd Shift, Monday-Friday 12:00am until 8:30am

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage or salary range for this position is $18/hr-$21/hr, plus 10% differential for off-shift.

Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you’ll do:

* Set up test apparatus. * Perform basic analysis of test data and routine calculations. * Provide exceptional customer experience to all customers throughout the onsite testing. * Interact with customers in a professional manner including appearance and attitude. * Diligent safety practices, knowledge of OSHA standards, and use of safety equipment as required by management. * Work closely with lead/ crew members and take direction to complete projects within certain policies and procedures. * Daily cleanup and maintenance of projects, work equipment, work site, vehicles and organize all tools and materials. * Perform site survey activities with a team. * Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety. * Operate, troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment. * Perform other work as required.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

* Ability to work Shift/Schedule: Full Time, 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday 4:00pm until 12:30am OR 3rd Shift, Monday-Friday 12:00am until 8:30am

* High School Diploma or GED

* Model Intertek’s 10X Energies at all times within the work place, practicing business the right way * Be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work * Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines * Ability to use basic shop equipment and various hand tools * Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner * Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions * Must be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management * Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formats * Must be customer focused and quality driven * Ability to lift up to 50lbs. * Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record * Ability to travel, up to 15%

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

* Trade school certification or associate’s degree in technical field * 1+ year of relatable experience in a HVAC laboratory environment * OSHA safety certificate * EPA 608 certification
