Position Summary

Mission Community Hospital is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Night Shift team. The ICU RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care to critically ill patients while collaborating closely with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate is clinically strong, team-oriented, adaptable in fast-paced environments, and committed to providing exceptional care and support to patients and families.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Monitor and interpret patient conditions, vital signs, and cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case management, and interdisciplinary teams
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations and patient changes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, infection prevention standards, and patient safety protocols
• Support a positive and collaborative work environment

Qualifications

• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Excellent teamwork and patient care skills

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of acute hospital experience in Med Surg/Telemetry required
• Preferred: At least 1 year of ICU experience

Depending on the specific role or shift, employees may be eligible for additional compensation (Differential Pay) between $1.00 - $5.00 per hour.
