Controls System Engineer 1,400 employees companywide. They have five factories through Minnesota and North Dakota. Plus, they have Technical Service Center in Moorhead, MN. The Control Systems role will be based out of the Technical Service Center in Moorhead, MN. Need someone to live and work locally around Moorhead to be able to participate in the 50% regional travel requirements (Mostly daytrips).

Basic Responsibilities:

• Half the job is programming, modifying, debugging, and troubleshooting PLCs on industrial cooling fans located throughout their five factories amongst the Red River Valley area (Mostly, within North Dakota and Minnesota). These fans simply cool down the sugar beets as a part of the initial processing procedure. Almost all travel is simply daytrips.
• The other half of the job will be involved in R&D work, and the current project is to assist automating their sugar beet piling machines.

Control Systems Engineer Qualifications:

• B.S. degree required.
• PLC programming experience required.
• HMI programming experience required.
• MUST have at least 3+ years of related experience.
• MUST have capital project exp - being a lead or the head of the project is preferred but not required so long as they have exp working the project from concept to completion in a project engineering or even project mgmt. capacity; MUST have some exp w either project engineer or project mgmt.
• Needs someone with good transmitter experience – They use a lot of Emerson's Rosemount Pressure Transmitters here and are open to any exp so long as they have solid experience with any transmitters.
• Writing code from scratch is not required, but a plus.
• Highly prefers candidates coming from O&G backgrounds and considers pharma possibly the second-best industry to pull from for this opening.

Top 3 MUST-HAVE's:

1. PLC programming experience
2. Experience working on capital projects from concept-to-completion
3. Manufacturing backgrounds, ideally within O&G
