Contract | Rotating Days & Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00-19:30 / 19:00-7:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to infant, pediatric, and adolescent patients in a 6-bed PICU setting, with a 1:2 patient ratio
• Manage patients with diagnoses including respiratory distress/failure, DKA, seizures, pain management, and sepsis
• Care for ventilated pediatric patients and manage acute airways, including BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and chest tubes
• Administer and monitor continuous drips, IV vasopressors, anti-seizure medications, and continuous sedation; perform pediatric dosage calculations
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, and PICC lines; perform ICP monitoring and ABG interpretation
• Float to NICU and Pediatrics units based on facility needs; document using Cerner EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• BLS/BCLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Basic EKG Exam required
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR required
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong dysrhythmia interpretation and management experience
• Experience with ventilators, high-flow nasal cannula, and BiPAP/CPAP equipment
• Comfort caring for patients requiring moderate sedation and ICP monitoring
• Experience with anti-seizure medications and continuous sedation protocols in a pediatric setting
