Pay: $25 – $34 per hour (DOE)
We are currently hiring Surveyors at multiple experience levels , ranging from Junior Surveyor to Survey Crew Chief . This is an excellent opportunity to join a large construction project team with competitive pay and the potential for relocation assistance for the right candidate.
These positions are expected to run through June/July , with immediate openings available .
Responsibilities
Conduct survey and layout activities as directed.
Perform QA/QC review tasks related to 3D modeling and grading .
Maintain, track, inventory, and coordinate use of GPS, survey, and machine control equipment .
Conduct topographic and cross-section surveys for planning and quantity measurements.
Document surveying activities using detailed field notes .
Maintain and care for surveying equipment.
Coordinate surveying activities with the Survey Manager to meet construction requirements.
Communicate and reinforce company vision, values, and goals.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Basic to advanced knowledge of field instrumentation, GPS systems, and robotic total stations .
Ability to work effectively as part of a team environment .
Strong math skills , including algebra and trigonometry.
Technical school diploma or certificate in a related program is a plus.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Work Environment
Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions .
Work around moving mechanical equipment .
Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and loud noise levels .
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including:
Hard hat
Safety glasses
Gloves
Safety-toed boots
Safety vest
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs .
Must be able to traverse uneven and steep terrain .
Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and enter/exit heavy equipment .
Must be able to respond quickly to sounds and communicate clearly with team members .
