This position participates in our compensation program, which provides opportunities for future pay growth based on performance and career development.401(k) with a dollar-for-dollar company match up to 4%Hotel discounts at select Western States Lodging & Management propertiesEligible full-time associates are entitled to the following:Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans plus Health Savings Account (HSA) optionsOptional supplemental benefits, including accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and other coverage options.Personal Time Off (PTO) and Vacation benefitsWhat You'll DoWelcome residents and guests and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their dining experience.Take resident food orders and serve meals in a polished, professional manner.Handle special requests and accommodations, including dietary restrictions and seating preferences.Assist residents with seating arrangements and help coordinate reservations during busy dining periods.Monitor the dining area for cleanliness, organization, and safety, addressing issues promptly.Set, clear, and reset tables efficiently while maintaining a welcoming dining environment.Refill beverages and ensure condiments and dining supplies are properly stocked.Assist with training new Dining Room Servers and provide guidance and support as needed.Respond professionally to resident and guest questions, concerns, and complaints.Follow all food-handling, safety, sanitation, infection control, and loss-prevention procedures.Work collaboratively with residents, families, supervisors, and coworkers.Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Food Service Director.What Makes You SuccessfulHigh school diploma or equivalent.1–3 years of experience in dining, hospitality, customer service, senior living, or a related field.Valid Food Handler's Permit or ServeSafe Certification in the state you are applying in, as required by the state.Strong customer service skills and a welcoming, professional personality.Ability to handle resident and guest questions, concerns, and complaints with patience and professionalism.Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain organized during busy dining periods.Working knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.Leadership skills and the ability to provide guidance and support to newer team members.Patience and willingness to work with and care for older adults and individuals with disabilities.Ability to communicate effectively and positively with residents, families, supervisors, and coworkers.Physical RequirementsFrequent walking and standing throughout the shift.Ability to frequently bend, stoop, sit, stand, and reach.Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 50 pounds using proper body mechanics and lifting techniques.Ability to meet the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.Successfully pass required post-offer, pre-employment drug testing and any required post-employment testing.You Know You're Successful When…Residents feel welcomed, respected, and well cared for throughout every dining experience.
