A leading law firm is seeking a Practice Group Assistant to join its Dallas office to provide administrative and operational support to attorneys in its Corporate, Commercial Transactions & Outsourcing Practice Group. This role supports client and matter administration, attorney time and billing, and document and records management to help ensure efficient delivery of legal services.

Responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and distributing client billing proformas, coordinating attorney billing edits, and monitoring billing deadlines in collaboration with the Accounting department. The role also involves assisting attorneys with time entry and timekeeping follow-up, coordinating new client and matter intake, and facilitating conflicts check requests. The assistant maintains electronic and physical client files, supports document filing and retrieval, and helps prepare and distribute routine correspondence and legal documents, while coordinating with attorneys and other departments on practice support requests.

Candidates should have prior experience supporting attorneys or legal professionals in a fast-paced environment, along with familiarity with billing, time entry, or document management systems. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines are essential, as is proficiency with Microsoft Office.
