CT Technologist

Desoto, Envision Imaging of Desoto, 3920 Wheatland Rd., Suite 120, Dallas, TX 75237, USA CT Technologist – Full Time Location: Dallas, TX. Work hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Pay range: $35.35 – $45.57 per hour. Eligible hires: $7,000 sign‑on bonus. Summary The CT Technologist performs CT examinations, positions patients, and conducts cross‑sectional anatomical scans using proper technical factors and computer programs to provide images and numerical values of tissue density. Essential Functions Interface with patients to ascertain medical history and provide instructions and explanation of the procedure to obtain best possible images. Review patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent; screen patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc. Obtain prior films/exams as needed and perform high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation. Perform exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam; notify appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time. Transfer images to other locations as needed. Coordinate scan protocols with Radiologist. Maintain and inspect equipment regularly; immediately report any quality concerns, equipment failures or deficiencies. Interface with Lead Technologist and Center/Area Manager regarding departmental concerns. Perform other duties as assigned. Work Environment This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Travel No travel is expected for this position. Job Qualifications Two or more years’ experience in Computed Tomography (CT) – preferred. Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed. Detail oriented, self‑motivated, a problem solver and a team player. Ability to excel in a very fast‑pace team environment. Ability to continuously exceed company and customer expectation. Education and Certifications Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program. Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification. Registry in Computed Tomography (CT). Current license from state medical board (if applicable). Current CPR certification. Additional Eligibility Qualifications None required for this position.
