Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Acute)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | 36–48 Hours Per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an acute Labor & Delivery setting including LDR, Triage, OR, and PACU
• Manage and monitor high-risk obstetric patients including those on Magnesium or insulin drips, maintaining a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio as required
• Follow patients through the complete care continuum for scheduled C-Sections from pre-op through PACU sign-off
• Perform fetal surveillance monitoring using electronic fetal monitoring systems in accordance with AWHONN staffing and practice standards
• Administer medications and document care using facility EHR and medication dispensing systems
• Work 3–4 weekend shifts per 28-day schedule and participate in unit self-scheduling process

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
• BLS and ACLS certifications issued through the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification or equivalent

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech (PCS and ORM modules) and OBIX fetal surveillance systems
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication administration and Solaris IV pump systems
• Experience caring for high-risk obstetric populations including diabetic patients
