Phlebotomist

Perform blood collections by venipuncture technique for all age groups Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Perform clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Requirements High School graduate or equivalent required National Phlebotomy Certification or qualified to sit for phlebotomy certification exam preferred Prior experience as a Phlebotomist OR an equivalent combination of graduation from a certified phlebotomy school coupled with work experience in a healthcare field preferred Moderate knowledge of medical terminology preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills preferred Ability to perform blood collections by venipuncture technique for all age groups Ability to prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis Ability to maintain patient and specimen information logs Ability to travel to additional sites when needed Ability to work Monday–Friday scheduled 8-hour shifts varying between 7:00am–6:00pm, with rotating Saturdays 8:00am–12:00pm Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in blood collection techniques, particularly venipuncture, while ensuring accurate specimen preparation and maintaining detailed patient logs.
