About the Position

We’re hiring an experienced  Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)for a high-quality acute care hospital in Rochester, NY. This travel contract is ideal for techs who enjoy working in a fast-paced OR environment and have strong skills in instrument processing, sterilization, and endoscope reprocessing. Key Responsibilities

• Decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments
• Assemble trays and case carts using preference cards
• Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) and endoscope reprocessing
• Operate washers, ultrasonic cleaners, sterilizers, and AERs
• Monitor and document biological & chemical indicators
• Maintain accurate documentation in Sterile Processing systems (SPM)
• Support multiple surgical specialties and OR teams
• Participate in on-call rotation and occasional weekends

Requirements

• 1–2+ years of Sterile Processing experience (Acute Hospital OR required)
• EPIC charting experience – REQUIRED
• CRCST or CSPDT certification (CBSPD preferred)
• NY license/certification must be in hand to submit
• Comfortable floating within sterile processing departments
