Job Type: Full-time Recruitment Firm: Warren Recruiting About the Client Warren Recruiting has been exclusively retained by a highly successful, premier real estate owner, investor, and operator based in Dallas, Texas to find their next legal leader. Our client boasts a diverse and rapidly expanding portfolio spanning multiple asset classes—including retail, office, industrial, and multi-family. Known for their entrepreneurial spirit and strategic approach to maximizing property value, they are scaling their operations and seeking a sharp, execution-oriented Real Estate Counsel to join their leadership team. In this role, you won’t just be reviewing redlines from the sidelines; you will actively spearhead and execute leasing strategy across their entire portfolio. The Role This is a high-impact position that bridges the gap between legal expertise and commercial execution. You will serve as the primary legal driver for all leasing activities, protecting the firm’s interests while maintaining the agility needed to close deals efficiently. Key Responsibilities Lead Portfolio Leasing: Structure, draft, negotiate, and close commercial leases across a multitude of asset classes (Retail, Office, Industrial, etc.). Streamline Deal Flow: Own the leasing process from initial Letter of Intent (LOI) to execution, ensuring speed-to-market while mitigating risk. Strategic Advisory: Partner closely with executive leadership, acquisitions, and property management teams to align legal strategy with broader business goals. Vendor & Broker Management: Manage relationships with outside counsel (where necessary) and coordinate seamlessly with third-party leasing brokers. Portfolio Management: Oversee lease modifications, renewals, expansions, and terminations, while proactively resolving tenant disputes or legal compliance issues. What We’re Looking For Texas Licensed: Must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of dedicated real estate law experience, with a heavy emphasis on commercial leasing. Experience working in-house with a real estate developer/operator or within a robust law firm practice group is highly preferred. Asset Class Versatility: Proven track record handling leases for a diverse mix of properties (Retail, Office, and Industrial are a must). Commercial Mindset: You understand that legal risk must be balanced with business velocity. You are solutions-oriented and know how to get deals across the finish line. Dallas Local: Deep familiarity with the Texas real estate market and a desire to be based in the DFW metroplex.
