Posting Specifics Starting Pay: $29.14+ depending on experience Shift Details: 8 hr shifts Thursdays & Fridays (potential to pick up additional shifts or regular hours at other Wasatch Back locations) Location: Park City Sports Medicine Clinic Scheduled Weekly Hours: 16 Hourly Rate: $29.14 - $44.94 (actual rate depends on experience) Job Essentials Ensures proper patient identification, orders verification, and prepares the patient for the exam. Is sensitive to the patients’ needs throughout the procedure and explains the procedure to the patient and family to facilitate cooperation and alleviate anxiety. Performs radiologic exams that produce quality images while ensuring patient and staff safety, following proper protocols, correct positioning, appropriate equipment use, and adherence to radiation protection and guidelines. Utilizes sterile techniques when performing invasive procedures. Recognizes emergent patient situations and responds quickly and appropriately. Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage. Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other patient care providers following the procedure. Maintains a clean, neat, and safe environment for patients and staff, ensuring supplies and equipment are organized and efficient. Pursues individual education and career development opportunities, especially those for new procedures and equipment. As appropriate, assists and instructs students and other radiology techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment. Minimum Qualifications American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification Radiological technologist license in state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers May be required to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist and perform the function of an MA in a clinic or InstaCare setting. Preferred Qualifications 1-2 years radiology experience IV Certification Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors requiring verbal communication, listening, and quick decision making, especially during emergency situations. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex equipment with precision and accuracy, including frequent computer use and typing for documentation. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients; bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies, including items of varying weights up to heavy items. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and distributing supplies and equipment, including pushing and pulling gurneys and portable equipment, often navigating crowded rooms. May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period.
