Responsibilities Join our team at as a Data Engineer and play a pivotal role in designing, creating, deploying, and managing our company's data systems. This essential position supports our growth and innovation by ensuring the availability of high-quality data. You will be responsible for designing and building scalable data pipelines, developing data models, and implementing strategies for data acquisition and management. Your expertise in data infrastructure and database management will enhance the availability, reliability, and integrity of data used across the organization. Design and Build Database Systems: Design, construct, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems that adhere to both business requirements and industry best practices. Data Modeling and Design: Create data models and architecture patterns that optimize functionality, cost, performance, scalability, reusability, security, and extensibility. Data Strategy and Management: Devise, support and implement strategies for data acquisition, archival recovery, and database implementations to ensure data fidelity and cleanliness. Integration and Migration: Maintain robust data integrity across a variety of data sources and systems, facilitating data migrations and preparing data for advanced analytics. Performance Management: Oversee and enhance the performance and storage of database systems through automated maintenance scripts. Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with developers, data scientists, analysts, and others to support data-related technical needs and improvements. Innovation and Research: Stay updated on industry trends and technologies, advocating for new tools and techniques that can enhance our data architecture and management capabilities. Qualifications Educational Background: A university or college degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Relevant Experience: Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role involving data management, with a solid foundation in data warehousing and database design. Technical Skills: SQL: Strong expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing SQL queries, including stored procedures. Data Modeling: Proficiency in data modeling techniques, including dimensional modeling, to support data warehousing and business intelligence. Cloud Services: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including services like Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Cosmos DB. Database Technologies: Proficiency in handling various database technologies, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval. Data Integration: Experience with data integration tools and techniques, such as Azure Data Factory and SSIS. Reporting Tools: Knowledge of reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BI. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical abilities with a knack for solving complex problems and proposing effective solutions. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong capability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, with stellar communication skills.
