Job Description2nd Shift Production SupervisorPay Range: $69,000 - $86,000 depending on relevant experience and qualificationsLocation: Nokomis, FL 34275Shift/Work Schedule: This position will be supervising the 2nd shift that runs Monday through Friday from 5:00pm - 1:30am. Flexibility to work overtime & Saturday as needed to meet the needs of the business is required.ResponsibilitiesLeads by example with respect to our Vision, Common Purpose, and Quality Standards: Safety, Integrity, Efficiency, and CreativitySchedules and directs team members within the production line ensuring clear understanding of task expectations in safety, quality, and productivityProvides team member feedback in the form of recognition for positive performance, coaching and counseling for performance opportunities, and development opportunities for team member growthCross trains and rotates team members consistent with internal performance compensation structureProvides leadership in sustaining defined processes and resolving issuesMaintains time and production records dailyEnsures the overall integrity of work produced by the lineDevelops, recommends, and implements measures to improve manufacturing methods, equipment performance, and quality of productSuggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of departmentPrepares and presents training materials, and communications to team regarding safety, quality, production, 5S, and other key performance measuresMaintains the overall safety of employees in the assigned work area by reporting all hazards/issues, leading and participating in incident investigations and follow-up, ergonomic and hazard assessments etc.Administers Company policies in a fair and consistent mannerEncourages suggestions from employees, which will improve safety, quality, productivity, and operating costMaintains consistent communications and regular department meetingsPerforms other duties as requiredQualificationsCollege degree preferredOur ideal candidate will have three-plus years in a manufacturing leadership role with previous multi-line responsibilityTo support our Continuous Improvement culture, we are looking for a strong background in LEAN process improvement principles, and process management experienceExperience improving operations (Units Per Employee Hour, reduced costs, etc.)Proficiency in the MS Office SuiteMust be an effective communicator, capable of teaching and generating results while enhancing the work environment and supporting the company philosophyMITER Brands is a residential window and door manufacturer that provides a leading portfolio of window and door brands for the new construction and replacement segments.
