The Orchards at Redford is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join their in-house therapy team!
Pay starts at $28.00 per hour and increases based on experience. Responsibilities

- Assess patients' physical abilities and limitations through comprehensive evaluations.
- Implement individualized treatment plans by supervising OT based on patient needs and goals, incorporating evidence-based practices.
- Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve mobility, strength, and overall function.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay updated on advancements in occupational therapy practices.
- Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to physical therapy practices.
- Experience in skilled nursing settings is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes to facilitate smooth transitions for patients.
- Background in treating geriatric populations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
