Sterile Processing TechnicianUnit Notes Department: Sterile Processing (SPT) Certifications Required: CSPDT or CRCST No clinical involvement Common cases: Heavy ortho, neuro, CV, dental, GI, robotics, gyne, ENT Department covered/ #suits: All Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have 5 years of sterile processing experience Is there a manager/lead tech on each shift? Leads Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 07-1530, 1330-2200, 1430-2300, 1000-1830 Weeknight/Call Requirements: 3 days per month Weekend/Call Requirements: Every fourth alternating days and evenings Holiday/Call Requirements: 2 holidays per year 1 summer/1 winter How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 2 days Additional notes: Attributes to make a person successful in this department include detail oriented, flexible, sense of humor, ability to receive and give constructive feedback Radius rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
