American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Trauma Med/Surg unit in Nashville, TN, requiring at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience and an active TN or compact RN license. Requirements Active RN license — TN or compact license required Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment) Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience Proficiency in starting IVs, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes Ability to prioritize care and multitask in a high-acuity trauma environment US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted One professional reference required (two required if the candidate is from Florida or Missouri) Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible Responsibilities Located on the 7th floor Trauma Med/Surg unit (Cost Center 613) of an ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke-certified hospital in Nashville, TN 34-bed unit with a 6:1 patient ratio Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week 2 weekends (4 shifts) required per 4-week schedule Tech support available on both day and night shifts; unit secretary present 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Equipment used includes IV pumps, telemetry monitors, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCAs, EKG machines, bladder scanners, and iMobile communication technology EMR/documentation system: Meditech Contract labor is first to float; rotation applies when multiple contract staff are scheduled Responsibilities include providing attentive, compassionate care with bedside shift reports and active involvement of patients and family members in the plan of care Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) required No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months 13-week contract Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-702666 Open Positions: 3 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
