Job Opportunity: Industrial Controls Technician with Allied Technical Services in Cincinnati, OH

Allied Technical Services is looking for an Industrial Controls Technician to troubleshoot electrical systems, PLCs, motor controls, and field equipment across the Cincinnati area. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and seeing something different every day. You’ll be provided a company vehicle, tools, training, and the opportunity to help grow a specialized service team.

• Competitive pay starting at $35/hour and up, based on experience, plus overtime opportunities, service call pay, and prevailing wage work.
• Company vehicle, tools, PPE, FR clothing & boot allowance provided.
• Training and education reimbursement.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues in the field.
• Diagnose PLC, motor control, VFD, and control panel problems.
• Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Respond to service calls and restore equipment operation.
• Support municipal and industrial customers.
• Complete service documentation and communicate directly with customers.
• Work independently using a company service vehicle.

What We’re Looking For

• Industrial electrical troubleshooting experience
• Experience with motor controls, drives, relays, and control circuits
• Able to read electrical schematics
• Comfortable working independently in the field
• PLC troubleshooting experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license

Bonus Points For

• Allen Bradley or Rockwell experience
• SCADA exposure
• Water/wastewater experience
• Field service background
