This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy IMCU setting with a focus on neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory cases. The position requires adaptability to float across units and adherence to unit-specific protocols and equipment. Job Details Position: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Nurse Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week Required Qualifications: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license, current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).up-to-date resume with 2 years of experience in IMCU/Progressive Care Unit (PCU), valid drivers license matching demographics, and previous experience with electronic medical records (EMR) system EPIC. Clinical responsibilities include managing patients with diagnoses such as COPD, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), sepsis, myocardial infarction (MI), CV stepdown, and post-operative care, utilizing specialty equipment like temp pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, Bipap, and Neptune Vapo. Floating: Float rotation may be required. Responsibilities also include documentation, patient assessment, and adherence to safety protocols specific to neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory care.
