Join a collaborative rehabilitation team providing occupational therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in a skilled nursing and post-acute care setting. What You’ll Do As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you’ll work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents regain independence and improve their ability to perform everyday activities. Responsibilities include: Deliver skilled occupational therapy treatments based on individualized care plans. Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, upper extremity function, and functional independence. Monitor patient performance and communicate progress to the Occupational Therapist. Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation. Partner with nursing staff, physicians, rehabilitation professionals, and caregivers to coordinate quality patient care. Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and home safety recommendations. Maintain compliance with Medicare, state, federal, and company guidelines. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current Kansas Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license. Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, inpatient rehabilitation, or post-acute care is helpful but not required. New graduate COTAs are welcome to apply. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered rehabilitation.
