What You’ll Do

• Provide advanced surgical care for thoracic oncology patients (adult patients)
• Perform a broad range of thoracic procedures , including minimally invasive thoracic surgery
• Conduct and support robotic surgery and VATS procedures
• Perform procedures addressing lung, chest wall, mediastinal, and pleural diseases
• Support advanced bronchoscopy and endoscopic procedures for the lungs and esophagus
• Collaborate with support staff including PAs, nurse navigator, clinic RNs, and a provider coordinator
• Participate in a shared call schedule divided among surgeons

What You NeedRequired

• State License: Active MN license or IMLC
• DEA: DEA required
• Board Certification: Thoracic Surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, or Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery by the AOA Board of Surgery (required upon hire)
• ACLS/BLS: ACLS and BLS Tier 2
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of trained thoracic or cardiothoracic surgery with an emphasis in thoracic malignancy

Preferred

• Completion of Thoracic Oncology Fellowship
• 2+ years of robotic surgical skills

The role combines clinic and operating room time with shared call responsibilities among surgeons, supported by a multidisciplinary team including PAs, nurse navigation, and nursing staff.
