Home2 Suites by Hilton Hammond , part of Ascent Hospitality, is seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Worker to join our Engineering Team.

This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Chief Engineer and plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of the Engineering Department while helping maintain a safe, comfortable, clean, and well-functioning hotel for our guests and team members.

Our Engineering Team is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-functioning property. If you enjoy hands-on work, troubleshooting, fixing things, and taking pride in maintaining a hotel, we would love to meet you.

What You Will Do:
• Proactively perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs throughout the hotel.
• Troubleshoot and assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance issues.
• Respond promptly to guest room and public-area maintenance requests.
• Complete assigned work orders and communicate maintenance concerns to Engineering leadership.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and facilities for maintenance issues.
• Assist with painting, drywall repairs, furniture repairs, doors, locks, fixtures, and other general maintenance projects.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and property improvement projects.
• Maintain tools, equipment, engineering areas, and workspaces in a clean and organized condition.
• Follow all hotel safety procedures, company policies, and applicable safety standards.
• Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with guests and team members.
• Assist with emergency maintenance situations and respond appropriately when required.
• Support the Engineering Department in maintaining an exceptional guest environment.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Previous hotel maintenance, facilities, apartment maintenance, construction, or related experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays when required.
