Meyer's Elgin Smokehouse is looking for a reliable, high-energy BBQ Food Service Worker to join our team at our 188 Hwy 290, Elgin, TX location! In this role, you will greet guests, serve up our famous Texas smoked meats and sides, and help maintain a clean, welcoming dining room. If you love great barbecue and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment, we want to hear from you. Job Duties Customer Service: Greet guests with a smile, take orders accurately, and answer questions about our smoked meats, rubs, and sauces. Food Assembly & Serving: Portion, slice, and plate barbecue meats and sides according to our standards. Station Setup & Maintenance: Keep the carving station, side warmers, and sauce bars fully stocked and clean throughout your shift. Cleaning & Sanitation: Clear tables, sweep and mop floors, wash dishes, and strictly follow all food safety and health guidelines. Point of Sale: Handle cash and card transactions efficiently using our POS system. Requirements and Skills Experience: Previous experience in food service or customer service is a plus. Certifications: Must have (or be willing to get) a valid local food handler's card and TABC certification. Physical Ability: Ability to stand for long periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds. Teamwork: Strong communication skills and a dependable work ethic. Schedule: Flexible availability to work busy shifts, including weekends and holidays. #J-18808-Ljbffr Meyer
