Shift: 8H Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours x 5 days; Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; weekday and weekend call rotation, holiday call rotation as needed.

Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty; 2-3 previous travel assignments preferred.

License: RN License required.

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS preferred.

Must-Have: 2-3 years of experience in operating room specialty. Experience passing instruments for robotic surgeries. Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record system. Ability to scrub for various surgical specialties.

Description: The operating room environment requires skilled professionals to assist in various surgical procedures. The unit includes 9 operating rooms and 1 procedure room with an average of 35-45 cases daily. Common cases include general, ENT, orthopedic, and trauma surgeries. The candidate must be comfortable working with a diverse patient population and a variety of surgical procedures. Evening and night shifts require experience in all surgical specialties. Charge nurse responsibilities may be assigned to the candidate when needed. On-call requirements include one weeknight call and one weekend 24-hour call per month. Additional notes include the expectation for travelers to rotate through charge nurse duties. Candidates should be adaptable and willing to learn new service lines as needed. Floating to outpatient surgery may be required based on unit needs. Scrubs will be provided for all staff in the operating room.
