Location: Sumter, South Carolina Employment Type: Full‑Time; Benefits Provided; Field Role. Overview Licensed Insurance Sales Agent. As a licensed agent with Kemper, you will be assigned an established book of business, providing opportunity for prospecting new sales and immediate income through premium‑collection commissions each month. Your income is determined by your performance under a pay‑for‑performance model. Outstanding performance is recognized with awards, prizes, and company‑sponsored trips. Must be fully licensed in resident state. The program is not available to re‑hires or temporary licenses. Responsibilities Coordinate home visits and conduct sales presentations, recommending products and closing new sales. Prospect for new sales opportunities. Maintain strong customer relationships by collecting premiums on a pre‑arranged schedule. Respond promptly to service requests such as beneficiary changes, claims, and loans. Record keeping and processing of policy paperwork. Agent Expectations Grow assigned territory through new sales. Build strong working relationships with customers. Devote necessary time to fulfill role responsibilities. Pursue continuous professional development in insurance products and sales effectiveness. Minimum Qualifications Fully licensed to sell all Kemper Life products (Life, Health, P&C) in resident state. Customer service experience. Minimum 18 years of age. Valid driver’s license with required auto insurance coverage. Dependable vehicle for daily travel. Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening.
