Job Description Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: The Student Equipment Room Assistant supports the Athletic Equipment Department by assisting with laundry operations, equipment and uniform distribution, inventory organization, and maintaining a clean and organized equipment room. The position also assists with preparing equipment and apparel for practices and competitions and supports daily equipment room operations as needed. Duties and Principal Responsibilities: The student equipment room assistant supports the daily operations of the Athletic Equipment Department by assisting with laundry services, equipment and uniform distribution, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized equipment room. Education Requirements: LIU student enrolled in an active degree program. Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience Rate of Pay: NYS Minimum Rate Evaluation, procedures and schedules: Performance wll be evaluated by the equipment manager based on attendance, punctuality, reliability, professionalism, initiative, teamwork, and successful completion of assigned game day responsibilities. This position works a flexible schedule based on athletic event needs, with a maximum of 17 hours per week. LIU is an equal opportunity employer.
