We are launching a net-new, enterprise-wide Provider Data Management Platform that will become the single source of truth for provider information across our organization. This is a mission-critical initiative: legacy systems-many brought in through years of acquisitions-will be fully decommissioned, and this new platform will serve as the required enterprise standard for all provider data needs moving forward.As Director of Network Programs, you'll lead the strategy, build, and rollout of both the user-facing UI and the underlying data architecture. You will oversee the design of a scalable solution that captures complex provider hierarchies, ensures data governance, and integrates seamlessly with downstream applications across the enterprise.This is a demanding position, requiring an understanding of the vision of the product from the point of view of multiple customers, end users and stakeholders. The primary role of the Director is to serve the end-user, customer and stakeholders of the product by unlocking value on their behalf. You will wear many hats on an agile scrum team, from writing features, documenting requirements, managing backlog, verifying and accepting user stories, creating process flows, creating data flows, while driving & communicating both tactical and strategic vision. Primary Responsibilities:Define and Drive Product Vision: Establish the strategic direction for the new provider data platform, aligning it with enterprise goals of standardization, data quality, and operational efficiencyLead Platform Consolidation: Orchestrate the decommissioning of fragmented, legacy solutions and guide regional and business unit stakeholders through the migration to the new platformBuild from the Ground Up: Oversee the design and delivery of a brand-new, enterprise-grade UI and back-end platform that supports complex provider relationships and high-scale operationsModel Enterprise Complexity: Partner with enterprise architects, data architects and engineering to design a flexible, extensible data model capable of representing affiliations, groupings, roles, and geographic nuances across providersManage and Mentor Team: Lead a high-performing team of product managers and analysts, creating a solid product culture grounded in user empathy, agility, and measurable outcomesEngage Key Stakeholders: Work closely with executive leadership and regional platform owners to drive adoption, gather requirements, and maintain alignment throughout the platform rolloutOwn Integration Strategy: Ensure seamless data flows and integrations with enterprise platformsChampion Data Governance: Build capabilities into the product that enable compliance with regulatory requirements and enterprise standards around quality, lineage, access, and auditabilityQA test strategy: Risk based testing, test automation, etc. Documented test cases, and management metricsGeneral change management: solid vision/leadership, communication, and ensuring teams have the resources to be successfulMange implementation and deliverables: Ensuring delivery is tracking on time and in budgetMeasure and Optimize: Define key metrics for product success and continuously improve platform performance, usability, and data integrityYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:10+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years in a leadership capacity5+ years on an Agile software development project(s)5+ years experience tracking, planning, working on software development projects5+ years Business Analyst work on software development project(s)Familiarity with tools and technologies such as:Snowflake (data warehousing)Kafka (real-time event streaming)Salesforce (workflow/CRM integration)MD Staff or equivalent credentialing platformsPower BI (enterprise analytics and reportingExperience in analysis of business processes and workflows, and providing evaluations, benchmarks, and/or process improvement recommendationsIntermediate Level Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, OneNote, SharePoint and PowerPoint)Proven success launching enterprise-grade, net-new platforms that replaced or consolidated legacy systemsUnderstanding of enterprise data architecture and integration strategiesPreferred Qualifications:Agile Product Manager CertificationServiceNow experienceExperience in a large matrix environmentHealthcare Industry Experience, especially working directly or on behalf of Providers to improve their experienceCA Agile (formerly known as Rally), Aha, or equivalent agile deployment technologyHealthcare Industry ExperienceSix Sigma experienceCustomer Journey (especially Provider) experienceExperience in healthcare provider data, credentialing, or domains involving multi-entity data hierarchies and affiliationsExcellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of cross-functional influence*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
