Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in York, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing advanced nursing care to critically ill adult patients, including invasive hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and post-surgical support for Cardiac and other complex surgical patients. Candidates must be prepared to pass an EKG exam on the first attempt and work a night shift schedule.

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/03/2026
• Required Qualifications: California license, ACLS & BLS certifications, minimum of 2 years ICU experience, Epic charting system experience, arterial line management, ventilator management, ECMO care, and post-cardiac surgery patient care
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge nurse experience, trauma level ICU experience, and experience with complex bedside procedures such as Impella, IABP, and VAD management
• Additional Information: Candidate must be capable of caring for COVID-19 patients. May float across ICU floors and med-surg floors if needed. RTO should be minimized to 7 days maximum. Travel pairs accepted but schedule matching is not guaranteed.
• Submittal Requirements: Completion of a required EKG exam within 72 hours of signing the travel contract; EPIC charting system experience highly preferred.
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients with a daily census of approximately 8.39 patients, undergoing various cardiac surgical procedures, ECMO support, and complex medical cases.
• Skills: Includes management of arterial lines, chest tubes, ECMO, Impella devices, Ventilator management, Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and advanced cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Unit Details: 10-bed ICU with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory, physical therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response.
• Float: Potential float to all ICU floors and med-surg floors if needed.
• Special Equipment: ECMO, Impella, CRRT, IABP, Swan-Ganz, and various monitoring devices.
