Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Louisiana Childrens Medical Center Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Louisiana Childrens Medical Center Health System.

Additional Details:

You must be willing to float, work weekends, and generally just be very flexible.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Facility Details: -Unit Info: General MS, Diabetes Renal Insufficiency, some Overnight Ortho, Vascular Insufficiency, Wound Patients, & Backup for Stroke Unit

Shift & Scheduling: This unit does not offer straight 3x12 schedules. Travelers can either work an alternating 3x12s alternating 4x12’s every other week, or they can work straight 4x12’s. - Weekend Requirement: Yes -Holidays: Yes at least 2 of 3 holidays

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
