Salary Range: $145,000 - $160,000/Year Job Summary:
The Nurse Manager - Behavioral Health is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and clinical management of the behavioral health unit in collaboration with the Director. This role ensures high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while maintaining a positive environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations and management of the Behavioral Health unit
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NYSDOH, JCAHO, and regulatory standards
Lead performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance programs
Monitor admissions, discharges, and patient care management
Prepare and analyze clinical and operational reports
Provide leadership and supervision to nursing and interdisciplinary teams
Ensure patient care standards, safety, and ethical practices are maintained
Manage staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and inventory
Support staff development, training, and performance evaluations
Participate in continuous education and implement best practices
Provide administrative coverage as needed
Required Qualifications:
Active New York State RN License
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Minimum 5 years of RN experience
Minimum 2 years of leadership/management experience
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Certifications Required:
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS
