This is a great opportunity for an OT who enjoys working with an adult and geriatric rehabilitation population , helping patients regain the skills and independence needed to safely return to everyday activities. Position Highlights Skilled Nursing / Rehabilitation setting Adult and geriatric population Short-term rehabilitation and longer-term skilled needs Interdisciplinary rehab environment Focus on functional independence and quality of life Responsibilities Complete OT evaluations and reassessments Develop individualized plans of care ADL and self-care retraining Upper-extremity strengthening, ROM and coordination Functional mobility and transfer training Balance and endurance activities Adaptive equipment and compensatory strategies Cognitive and safety interventions as appropriate Patient and caregiver education Discharge planning Collaborate with PT, COTA, nursing and the interdisciplinary team Complete timely clinical documentation Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program Illinois OT license or ability to obtain prior to start Current BLS SNF/geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred Why Metropolis, Illinois?
