Porter PositionReal Estate Residential Management Company located within New York, NY is seeking a qualified Porter to fill a full time position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coverage of the building. Maintain and repair tenant apartments and general building maintenance projects. Support day to day maintenance work and other duties as necessary.Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:Clean and Maintain a professional appearance in hallways, lobbies, elevators and Interior/exterior of buildingTroubleshoot and correct compactor deficienciesCommunicate with tenants- tenant relationsResponsible for write up on tenant issues and inquiriesLiterate, reading and writingAble to communicate effectively via radio and in personResponsible for cleaning all apartments where maintenance work was performed.Able to work in a team environmentOther duties and responsibilitiesQualifications:Must have direct and proven experience as a Porter in a residence, commercial, or professional services environmentMust have excellent communication skills and a professional demeanorAble to effectively communicate via radio in a professional mannerMust have a flexible working scheduleSkills:Positive attitude & outgoing personalityStrong work ethicAbility to multitaskExperienced when working with construction toolsKnowledge of Carpentry workProfessional appearanceThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position.
