GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

ALL CREW MEMBERS:

· OSHA 10

· At least 3 years’ experience in concrete construction and solid knowledge of construction best

practices, and commonly used construction concepts and procedures

· Knowledge of equipment selection based on job requirements and operate hand and power

tools of all types

A Plus:

· Bilingual Spanish

· Experience in heavy civil construction, large scale projects

· ACI Finisher

SPECIFIC TRADE SKILL REQUIREMENTS

SKILLED LABORER

-Correctly strip and clean up concrete form work

-Site clean up, form stacking, lumber stacking, hardware organization, rubbish removal

-Labor on concrete pours

-Properly handle reinforcing steel

-Assist carpenters with form building

-Basic use of float and trowel

-Correctly operate/perform concrete vibration

-Correctly & safely operate power buggy, power rake or lull

LEAD IRONWORKER

-Able to read reinforcement tags, set steel at correct spacing & install steel true to line, plumb & level

-Able to pick, set & tie reinforcement correctly & efficiently using the proper tools

-Able to provide layout for reinforcement locations and elevations

-Able to read reinforcement drawings

-Able to productively run a crew of iron workers

LEAD CARPENTERS

-Able to correctly set/build forms of all types

-Able to safely use power tools (saws-demo, table, skill laser level drills)

-Have good understanding of layout & elevations – able to install pour stops, box outs, sleeves, anchor bolts and embeds

-Able to correctly build stairs, ramps & equipment pads

-Able to correctly build sidewalk & curb forms

-Reasonable understanding of pertinent drawings, layout and elevations

-Able to calculate, order, and place concrete

-Able to successfully lead a crew

LEAD MASONS

-Able to place and finish concrete and properly hand finish concrete edges

-Correctly use float, trowel, edger, jointer, broom

-Correctly operate a walk behind trowel machine

-Correctly place & finish floor slabs, sidewalks, stairs and pads

-Correctly use all standard finishing equipment

-Accurately finish architectural walls

-Correct layout & perform all saw cutting & curing requirements

-Correctly measure and order concrete

-Manage equipment needs for proper concrete operations

-Manage labor all place & finish operations as needed

-Correctly plan and place a concrete slab after handoff from superintendent

-Address finishing issues & correctly control the finishing operations.

-Properly operate and maintain all equipment being used

-Excellent organizational Skills

-Solid leadership skills

-Ability to communicate well among crew members and supervisors

-Understand and follow instructions

-Solid problem-solving, and decision-making skills

-Excellent work-ethic and positive attitude
