OR Nurse Manager

Madison County Memorial Hospital (MCMH) is a critical access hospital. It is also a hospital district facility, which is a quasi-government hospital whose board is appointed by the Governor of Florida. It operates twenty-five inpatient beds. MCMH generates approximately $19,000,000 in revenue each year and employs about 100 full-time staff. MCMH is located about five miles north of Interstate-10, approximately 50 miles east of Tallahassee, Florida. Madison is the county seat of a county with a population of approximately 20,000. The county’s economic base is agriculture, State correctional facility, school district, local government and small retail. Job Description Responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, management, and monitoring of an effective and ongoing Operating Room Program. Responsible to monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality of patient care within these programs. Responsible for the research, revision, development, implementation, and enforcement of policies and procedures. Responsible for filling in to work in vacant Registered Nurse positions within the department. Responsible for excellent communications and management of resources and upholding excellent clinical standards of care. Acts as a role model for others and maintains excellent and professional relationships. Qualifications Registered Nurse in the state of Florida Five years of Operating Room experience Current CPR license required ACLS & PALS certification A solid understanding of the concepts of quality improvement and OR standards.
