Front Desk Associate, 1920 McKinney Ave

About the Opportunity As a Front Desk Associate, you’ll be the heart and “face” of WeWork’s hospitality team as the primary point of contact for our members and guests. You’ll work at one of WeWork’s locations on weekdays only, supporting the Community Management team. Depending on the location, you may serve a diverse range of members or focus on Enterprise clients. Employees at our Enterprise locations may have different holidays, technical systems, operational and relationship requirements, and property‑management responsibilities compared to those in Classic locations. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the following areas: Front Desk Management – Greet members and guests warmly; cover the front desk during business hours and serve as the on‑site point of contact at the Community Bar; ensure guests are registered and checked in according to WeWork guest policies; provide orientation and relevant information to first‑time visitors; issue and collect keys; keep the front desk clean, organized, and clutter‑free; notify members of deliveries and packages. Member Engagement – Learn members’ names and businesses to build relationships; maintain member notes in WeWork systems; answer questions and recommend appropriate WeWork products and solutions; identify opportunities to celebrate member successes and milestones; explain WeWork policies and procedures; recommend local restaurants, delivery services, catering, outing venues, post office, shipping center, and supply stores. Building Operations and Management – Handle mail and packages throughout the day (receiving, processing, sorting, organizing); explain mailroom policies; monitor spaces and adjust as needed (pickup rubbish, reset chairs, straighten pillows); maintain building amenities (restock treat bowl, keycards, printers, etc.); respond to emergencies and incidents promptly and appropriately, escalating and recording as needed. Qualifications People‑person who enjoys meeting new people from all walks of life. You thrive on in‑person interactions and possess outstanding interpersonal skills. You feel comfortable and confident being the face of the brand. You enjoy helping others and work well in a team, ready to roll up your sleeves when needed. You can multitask while always prioritizing the member experience. Prior experience in hospitality, retail, or customer service is preferred but not required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer proficiency. Integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self‑awareness, strong work ethic, and compassion. Passion for and understanding of WeWork’s mission and values. Secondary school certificate is preferred but not required. Compensation & Benefits Base Pay: $18.50 to $19.50 per hour. Hourly Incentive Compensation: Staff are eligible for an incentive plan specific to their role. Your recruiter will detail the applicable plan after commencing employment. WeWork reserves the right to amend incentive plans. Benefits: Full‑time employees are eligible for comprehensive benefits including 20 days of PTO, approximately 13 paid holidays, 80 hours of paid sick time per calendar year, 16 weeks of paid parental leave, competitive healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, and life and AD&D insurance.
