As our Sonographer, you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care. Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is currently seeking a part time (0.8FTE) Sonographer for our Franciscan Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic in Tacoma, WA. Come join our expanding MFM team, with multiple locations this position is responsible for supporting our rotating provider assignment caring for our diverse patient clientele. Our Sonographers work hand in hand with our providers, assist in procedures and are a primary focus for patient interactions.

Every day you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians. To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent patient service and communication skills, sharp eyesight, and meticulous attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, and advanced decision-making skills to effectively capture and interpret sonographic data, ensuring optimal diagnostic support.

Occasional weekends however no organizationally recognized holidays required.

Job Requirements

Required

• Other Graduation from an accredited training program in Cardiac and/or General diagnostic radiology and Recent completion of a twelve-month internship in diagnostic ultrasound or equivalent recent directly-related work experience.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo, or
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen, or
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Breast, or
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Neurosonology, or
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer OB/GYN, or
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Pediatric Sono, or
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, and
• Basic Life Support - CPR
