The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and supporting workload migrations using VMware HCX across on-premises and cloud environments (such as VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution, or GCVE).Key Responsibilities:Plan and execute VM migrations using VMware HCX (vMotion, Bulk Migration, Cold Migration, Replication Assisted vMotion)Deploy, configure, and manage VMware HCX components (Manager, Interconnect, WAN Optimization, Network Extension)Perform assessment and discovery of workloads for migration readinessHandle L2 network extension and ensure minimal downtime during migrationTroubleshoot migration issues and optimize performanceWork with cross-functional teams (network, storage, cloud) to ensure smooth migrationValidate post-migration workloads and ensure application functionalityMaintain documentation for migration plans, runbooks, and execution reportsSupport DR and rollback strategies during migrationRequired Skills:8 years strong experience in VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter)5+ years hands-on experience with VMware HCX migrationsGood understanding of networking concepts (VLAN, VPN, routing, firewalls)5+ years experience with cloud platforms (VMware Cloud on AWS / Azure VMware Solution / GCP)Knowledge of migration strategies and toolsFamiliarity with NSX (preferred but not mandatory)Basic scripting knowledge (PowerCLI / Bash / Python) is a plusQualifications:VMware certifications (VCP-DCV preferred)HCX deployment or migration experience is a strong advantageNice to Have:Experience with multi-cloud migrationsKnowledge of disaster recovery solutions (SRM, Zerto, etc.)Exposure to automation and infrastructure-as-codeAbout NTT DATANTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
