What You'll Do:

  • Prepare and dispense medications according to physician requests and established protocols
  • Interpret drug orders and accurately transcribe into patient medication records
  • Compound medications, including sterile, non-sterile, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition
  • Issue and record controlled substances following legal and institutional policies
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services including drug therapy management, anticoagulation, and medication reconciliation
  • Monitor patient drug therapies for interactions, contraindications, and allergies
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, medication use reviews, and stewardship programs
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams during interdisciplinary rounds
  • Provide patient education and drug information to healthcare professionals and patients
  • Supervise pharmacy support staff and verify daily technician activities

What You Need:

Required:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (BS) degree
  • Valid pharmacy state license
  • BLS or ACLS certification
  • PALS certification (preferred)
  • Strong clinical knowledge in pharmacokinetics, neonatal medication, and emergency medicine
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred:
  • Previous hospital experience
  • Epic experience highly preferred
