What You'll Do:
- Prepare and dispense medications according to physician requests and established protocols
- Interpret drug orders and accurately transcribe into patient medication records
- Compound medications, including sterile, non-sterile, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition
- Issue and record controlled substances following legal and institutional policies
- Provide clinical pharmacy services including drug therapy management, anticoagulation, and medication reconciliation
- Monitor patient drug therapies for interactions, contraindications, and allergies
- Participate in quality improvement activities, medication use reviews, and stewardship programs
- Collaborate with healthcare teams during interdisciplinary rounds
- Provide patient education and drug information to healthcare professionals and patients
- Supervise pharmacy support staff and verify daily technician activities
What You Need:
Required:- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (BS) degree
- Valid pharmacy state license
- BLS or ACLS certification
- PALS certification (preferred)
- Strong clinical knowledge in pharmacokinetics, neonatal medication, and emergency medicine
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Previous hospital experience
- Epic experience highly preferred
